Polands national lottery organization, Totalizator Sportowy, has unveiled TotalCasino.pl, fueled by Playtech.
TotalCasino.pl and iLotto.pl, the sole authorized online casino and lottery platforms in Poland, officially commenced operations on Wednesday, December 5th.
The website and mobile application provide slots, table games, and lottery offerings. TotalCasino is powered by Playtech’s online casino platform, presenting a diverse range of games from the supplier’s catalog, while lottery products are supplied by International Game Technology (IGT).
Under the nation’s 2016 gambling market re-regulation provisions, the state-owned enterprise Totalizator Sportowy is the only entity in Poland permitted to offer online casinos and promotional lotteries.
Totalizator Sportowy stated that the launch of the website is the most significant undertaking in its 60-year history and will observe its effect on the Polish gambling sector.
“This substantial stride towards fulfilling customer requirements signifies digitization and the integration of contemporary tools for online product sales, augmenting the revenue of Totalizator Sportowy, and consequently enhancing the funds allocated to the realm of sports and cultural advancement,” remarked Olgierd Cislik, President of Totalizator Sportowy.
This is a significant event, and we’re constantly striving to improve it. We’ll be carefully considering player feedback.
The Polish National Lottery, established in 1956, is responsible for financing sports in Poland. It’s the sole entity permitted to operate slot machine venues under the 2016 Gambling Act, which came into effect last April. The organization introduced new products in 2017, resulting in a 21% surge in sales to 5.6 billion Polish zlotys (1.5 billion euros/1.5 billion US dollars).
Earlier this week, the Polish National Lottery’s horse racing division, Traf Zakłady Wzajemne, secured a license. There are now 14 authorized online sports betting locations in Poland. Some of these venues include Cherry, Fortuna, and Betclic Everest.
The government-sanctioned online market has experienced substantial growth in the past year. The Ministry of Finance reports that it contributed to a 22% increase in the industry’s total sales to €2.7 billion in 2017. The government also stated that the portion of the market controlled by licensed online venues reached 40% by December 31, 2017.
