Oregon Lottery Sets New Sports Betting Revenue Record in November

The Oregon Lottery declared that its “Scoreboard” sports wagering application established a new benchmark for gross gaming income (GGR) in November, while the state also observed robust betting activity in December.

Oregon’s GGR in November achieved $4.1 million (£3 million/€3.3 million), a new sports betting revenue high, rising 46.4% from the previous monthly record of $2.8 million set in October 2020.

Despite the total amount wagered in November being $25 million, declining 15.3% from $29.5 million in October, bettors wagered less than the preceding month.

In November, 22,989 active bettors made 823,483 wagers, with an average bet amount of $30.41 for the month.

Football was the most favored sport among bettors, with $14.7 million wagered in November, generating $3.2 million in GGR. This was followed by soccer, with $3.8 million wagered and $207,663 in GGR, and then basketball, with $2.2 million wagered and $166,415 in GGR.

Prior to the game commencing, 601,546 bets were placed, while in-play bets were 221,937, while 527,412 bets were singles and parlays, ahead of 296,071 combination and system bets.
