FanDuel Appoints Carolyn Renzin as Chief Legal Officer

FanDuel has elevated Carolyn Renzin to the Chief Legal Officer role, substantially broadening her purview within the organization.

She will maintain her existing duties as Chief Compliance Officer alongside this new appointment.

In her capacity as Chief Legal Officer, Renzin will supervise legal matters, risk mitigation, regulatory interactions, compliance, and responsible gaming initiatives. Her division will concentrate on guaranteeing the company sustains its emphasis on client well-being, data protection, and adherence to regulations.

Before her time at FanDuel, Renzin held the position of Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase, where she managed litigation and the day-to-day operations of the General Counsel’s Office.

Her professional background also encompasses a period as a compliance advisor at Guidepost Solutions and as a litigator and regulatory enforcement lawyer at Stillman, Friedman & Shechtman.

“Carolyn is a driven, skilled, compassionate, and incredibly dedicated leader and teammate,” remarked Christian Genetski, FanDuel’s President.

“Since coming to FanDuel, she has been an influential figure in the evolution of our enterprise and the development of a regulatory and compliance framework that aligns with the magnitude of our business presently and moving forward. I am certain there is no one more qualified to head our high-achieving legal department.”

Genetski assumed the role of President at FanDuel in July 2022, while Mike Raffensperger was designated for the newly established position of Chief Commercial Officer.

Flutter, the corporate owner of FanDuel, is taking steps to strengthen its management hierarchy, guaranteeing that all high-ranking leaders report directly to Chief Executive Officer Amy Howe. This initiative coincides with FanDuel’s ongoing expansion as a dominant force in the American digital gaming market, offering products such as sports wagering, daily fantasy contests, and internet-based casinos. The company just debuted live dealer studios in Michigan and Pennsylvania, powered by Evolution.
