Codere Extends Real Madrid Partnership to Strengthen Latin American Presence

The Telecommunications Powerhouse Codere Extends its Alliance with the Illustrious Real Madrid

Latin American telecommunications leader, Codere, has inked a renewal of its sponsorship agreement with the celebrated football club, Real Madrid. This fresh accord will span five years, extending the collaboration until June 2026.

This continuation is a strategic triumph for Codere, reinforcing its already formidable presence in Latin America and broadening its international reach. The arrangement encompasses a vast geographical area, including significant markets such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and throughout Central and South America. It also includes Codere’s digital platforms in nations like Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

The collaboration, initially forged in 2016, is a harmonious pairing. Both Codere and Real Madrid possess a shared dedication to achieving the highest standards and a desire to be global frontrunners. Vicente Di Loreto, Codere’s Chief Executive Officer, underscored this common vision, remarking, “We are delighted to renew with Real Madrid. Our aligned values and aspiration to be industry leaders make this partnership incredibly beneficial.”

Codere achieved a milestone as the pioneering online gaming provider in Latin America to be listed on the United States stock exchange. Although they have encountered certain obstacles, notably financial strains following the COVID-19 pandemic, this partnership demonstrates their commitment to expansion. Moshe Edree, Managing Director of Codere Online, emphasized the strategic significance of the agreement, stating, “This renewal with Real Madrid will be instrumental in our ambitious growth strategies in Latin America.”

This collaborative effort will enable us to bolster our current digital footprint in the sports wagering sector and harness the immense global recognition of the Real Madrid name. This will allow us to fully exploit the emergence of regulated markets in rapidly expanding areas such as Latin America, especially nations like Brazil, Chile, and Peru, where soccer holds a place of cultural significance.”
