Ajax Amsterdam Inks Sponsorship Deal with Asian Betting Firm KB88

The prominent Netherlands soccer club Ajax Amsterdam has secured a new sponsorship agreement with KB88, an internet wagering firm with a significant presence in the Asian marketplace. KB88 will serve as the team’s official Asian betting associate for the upcoming two seasons.

News sources in the Netherlands indicate that the arrangement will bring Ajax approximately €400,000 each year. These resources will be allocated to promoting KB88’s online platform.

Ajax will utilize its social media influence, particularly on the Chinese platform Weibo, to enhance KB88’s brand recognition. The club’s business development team is confident that Ajax can become a leading influencer on Weibo.

Ajax’s recently appointed CEO, Edwin van der Sar, formally announced the collaboration in a statement to Dutch news outlets: “We are thrilled to unveil this new partnership with KB88. We are continuously exploring avenues to further engage our expanding supporter base in Asia and elevate the club’s global profile.”

“Building upon previous collaborations with Asian corporations like Huawei, we are eagerly anticipating this pan-Asian partnership.”

Darren Royle, a representative from KB88, added: “Ajax is an organization with a storied legacy and an esteemed reputation for cultivating young athletes. Ajax will guarantee promotional efforts across the entire pan-Asian region.”
